Greetings from a DayZ community
« on: July 16, 2012, 09:56:21 PM »
Hello, my name is Rymdkejsaren or RK for short. I am a part of an online gaming community called DTE Gaming, which has been around for 12 years. We are currently playing DayZ a lot and we have been looking for a nice server that suits us. We have played a bit on your server (UK 26) and find the timezone and settings to our liking.

I do have a few questions, it seems the server is off the intended timezone at the moment. From what I hear this happens a lot after server resets, is this a problem you have often? Also some of my clanmates have had trouble connecting, myself I can only connect via the ingame server browser and not via the 6 launcher (just gives me endless Wait for Host). Two of my friends cannot join at all however, it keeps saying "failed to connect" for them and sends them back to menu. Any ideas why this may be happening, since they can connect to other servers fine?

hiya buddy,

Welcome to the forums & server

I could be wrong, but generally speaking, Ive been told that dayz and six launcher dont like one another much!

as for the server connection issues, I really couldnt help, I have had no issues connecting, the server tends to get reset a couple of times a day, and yes, the timezone can go out of sync.

sometimes we edit it, for eg, if we are choosing to do 'night ops' but for the most part its meant to run -5. meaning evening play is still daytime :)

as for the server connection stuff, Ill let far smarter people guide you!

I have the same connection issues, I find that if I join another server first then disconnect and join UK26 it works every time.

Hi,

I have no issues joining the server, and as Tom said we frequently restart the server to prevent issues.  Again Six launcher is crap and tbh I don't know why people use it as there is a perfectly good server browser in the game, just use the Filter. We will look into the issues you have reported but seeing as this is so random and does not effect everyone I can't see what we can do, however we will investigate.

With any connection problems people should check their RPT file. Get the guys who can't connect to attempt again and once it throws them back to menu have them check the RPT file. Report the findings here.

Cheers,
