Game to watch: Hero's & Generals
« on: March 01, 2012, 05:29:32 PM »
Hero's & Generals is an upcoming multi-player FPS set in WWII, what makes this interesting is even in these early stages you can see the team has a very good understanding of the subject matter.

The game is currently in alpha and unlike most alphas these days this really is building blocks but you can see the direction they're going in
It will be Free to play and yes will be supported by micro transactions so there is the inevitable danger of it becoming a Pay2Win game.But somehow I don't see this the developers seem to have a bit of integraty and are quite the sticklers when it comes to historical accuracy. They shed some light on the matter in this post

Below are 2 videos of the alpha stages there are four didn't want to bog the front page and there will be more to come. Overall it looks to be a very interesting project.

 ;) Sirico a question to you ? Are those developers come from brothers in Arms ? the screen outlay and play looks familiar or have I been mistaken ??    ;)

I have already signed up, it seems to be a better version of battleground Europe, I cannot wait for this to be launched, the ideas being fired around their forums and the ones being implemented look amazing, Europe is the Campaign map lol

Dude this game looks awesome !

Looks like a run off of RO2/MOH/Brothers in Arms - looks pretty epic to me! definitely going to get it.

Yeahhhhh its true and i agree but think about it,
with the massive updates in graphic's and game play ect ect since the whole WWII era for games came around;
were due for a decent release of something like that again, maybe not on the scale of this game or RO2 but something.
It'd just be fun to roam around and have some epic battles again with the Nazi's but this time with better graphic's, and game engines
and with map sizes that don't run back to MOH hahaha

I might be wrong but it looks like they're playing with level streaming between maps
