[DayZ server] Cannot join UK 26 "connection failed"

Good morning,

me and some friends play on your server for some days, and we really enjoy it (no 3DP / no crosshair ftw).
But yesterday evening, one of our mates failed to join the server. All he has now is "connection failed".
He hasn't any Battleye problems, i don't think he got a ban since we are very discreet and play in a legit way (no disconnect to avoid death or this kind of silly attitude).

He can connect to any other DayZ server. If you know any way to solve our problem, we will be very happy.

Your friend just needs to keep trying to connect, we all get the connection failed sometimes when logging in. Usually will let you in after a few tries.

Make sure he is using the ingame browser to connect and not the six launcher.

He tried a lot of times yesterday evening and today morning, without making it.
He is using the default browser.

Maybe some hints from server logs?

Aside from the random times when this pops up without a reason, it can either be a problem with the server (If everyone ingame has red desynch, then nobody else can join), or a connection problem.

If it is your connection, then this can help:

1. In windows, click the start menu. You should have an item "Run" just above the Logoff or Shutdown items. Select "Run"
2. A dialog box should pop-up. In the input area type "cmd" and hit ok.
3. You should now see something similar to a dos window (black background). In this type "netsh winsock reset" and hit enter.

It's still not working. 

He has the right beta patch version and the latest Dzay pbos. Very strange.

I had this problem yesterday.

The problem was down to my very rural internet connection messing up. I reset my router a couple of times, waited a bit and connected fine.

Kirbrite have your friend check his arma RPT file. It can be found in Users\User\AppData\Local\Arma2 OA  There will be one without a string of numbers at the end and this should be the most recent one. Tell him to try connecting to a server that he knows wont work. As soon as he has one failed connection open the RPT file, scroll to the end and find out what the issue is. We can then determine if it is a client or server issue....but I have a sneaky feeling it will be his router.

I also get this problem with this server and have never had it with any others. So far I've found that if I join another server first then disconnect and join UK26 I get on fine, might just have been a coincidence though.

There is an issue tonight with clients running 1.7.2 as well I think.
